IBB UNIVERSITY WITHDRAWS 24 STUDENTS FOR COMMITTING VARIOUS OFFENCES

Twenty four students of the Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University Lapai in Niger state have been withdrawn for committing various offices that goes contrary to the laid down rules and regulations governing the institution.

Vice Chancellor of the University Prof Abu Kassim Adamu stated this while addressing Newsmen on the fourth combined convocation ceremony of the University held in Minna.

Prof Abu Kassim Adamu explained that of the number seventeen of them were withdrawn on academic ground while the remaining seven are based on misconduct ranging from cultism drug abuse and cyber crime among others.

He said the management of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University Lapai accord zero tolerance on acts capable of tarnishing the image of the institution towards enhancing academic excellence. 

Prof Abu Kassim Adamu further said a total of six thousand one hundred and fifty four graduands are convocating during the combined convocation ceremony for the twenty nineteen, twenty twenty and twenty twenty, twenty twenty one this Saturday.

According to him thirty seven out of the five thousand seven hundred and nineteen from the undergraduate programme are to receive first class degrees while nine hundred and fifty four got second class upper degrees respectively.

The Vice Chancellor Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University Lapai spoke of plans by the Institution to introduce new courses in the faculty of law pharmaceutical sceinces engineering and others which he said are coming onboard this year.

Prof Abu Kassim Adamu added that four immenent personalities to include Colonel Sani Bello Plateau state Governor Mr Simon Lalong Malam Ibrahim Aliyu Alh Abdulsamad Isiyaka Rabiu are to be honoured with honourary doctorates degrees at the combined convocation ceremony in Lapai Niger state.
