Governor Yusuf sends new list of Commissioner-nominees to Kano Assembly

The Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has presented a new list of commissioner-nominees to the state House of Assembly.
The list comprises six names who are members of the party in Kano.
This development is currently generating divergent opinions in the public space, as the Governor directs the office of the Secretary to the State government to issue an evaluation notice to all the 18 commissioners under his cabinet some weeks back.
According to the Director General, Media and Publicity, Government House, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the directive was based on the policy of Gov. Yusuf’s administration made known at the swearing-in of the Commissioners to evaluate their performance every six months to ensure quality service delivery.
But the office of the Governor remained silent some days after the expiration of the ultimatum.
