Governor Bagudu approves Payment of WAEC examination fees for 2022

Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State has approved the immediate payment of Four Hundred and Fifty Six Million, Five Hundred and Ninety Six Thousand Naira (N456,596,000) to West African Examination Council, WAEC for the 2022 West Africa School Certificate Examination.
The Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Dr. Muhammadu Magawata Aliero announced this at a News briefing flanked by the Commissioner for Finance , Alhaji Ibrahim Muhammad Augie in Birnin Kebbi this Monday.
Magawata Aliero explained that in April this year , Kebbi State Government deposited One Hundred Million Naira (N100,000,000) with WAEC which brought the total amount to Five Hundred and Fifty Six Million Five Hundred and Ninety Six Thousand Naira (N556,596,000) paid to the. examination body.
He said the State Government sponsored thirty thousand, nine hundred and twenty two candidates for the 2022 WASC at a registration fee of eighteen thousand naira per candidate.
The Commissioner indicated that the State Government has approved the payment of Two million six hundred and Fifty Five thousand, Six hundred naira (N2,645,600) to extra supervisors and offset cost of materials.
