Gov. Aliyu condoles Jabo District Head over the death of Alhaji Attahiru Jabo
Gov. Ahmed Aliyu has condoled the District Head of Jabo Alhaji Aliyu Garba Jabo over the death of late Attahiru Jabo.
Gov. Aliyu, who was at the palace of District head of Jabo, described the death as a great loss not only to Jabo community, but the entire state as a whole.
The Governor described the late Attahiru as a pious gentleman who spent whole his life serving humanity.
Dr Aliyu prayed the Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased and give his family the formidable fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Gov. Aliyu commended the people of Jabo for their support to his candidacy during the electioneering and assured them of his administration's readiness to touch the lives of the electorate.
"Insha Allah we will in the next two weeks embark on a thank you visit across the 23 Local Government Areas of the state.
"We are not unmindful of the total support we received from the electorate despite pressure and intimidation by the immediate past administration in the state.
"We'll by the grace of God reciprocate the gesture done not only to me but to my mentor, Sen. Aliyu Wamakko," he added.
He thanked the people of the state for their support to his administration at all times.
In this words, the District head of Jabo Alhaji Aliyu Garba, commended Gov. Aliyu for the condolence visit, which he described as an honour to the entire people of Jabo.
The traditional ruler described the late Attahiru Jabo as an astute elder statesman who had contributed immensely to the educational development of Jabo community and Sokoto State as a whole.
Special prayers were offered for rhe repose of the soul of the deceased.
Gov. Aliyu was accompanied on the visit by some members of the State Executive Council, Special Advisers as well as top politicians.
