Get Me Turji Now, Defence Minister Urges Military In Zamfara

The honourable minister of Defence Badaru Abubakar has today paid a visit to Nigeria Army fighting banditry in Zamfara state north west Nigeria, ordered them to get him Bello Turji now.

The minister gave the order while  addressing the troops of operation fansar yamma at the one brigade Gusau.

He said, " Iam here in Gusau under the directives of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, he told me to come and meet you and have discussion with you to find the lasting solution of banditry or rather insecurity in north west and Nigeria at large.

" The president have provided all what you need in the conduct of this operation, therefore there is need for you to redouble your efforts.

" Are you ready to end banditry, kidnapping in the north west?, if at all you are ready get me Turji now, minister urged the troops .

In an interview with newsmen, the Defence Minister said, all arrangements have been concluded, to provide Operation Fansar Yamma with adequate facilities and logistics to facilitate their operations.

He however enumerated some of the challenges facing the operations  which he said , the villagers and informants.

According to him, when the gallant troops are pursuing bandits, some time they can ran and enter in to villages and hide, so sad the villagers harbour them and as a result the troops may not get the needed information.

He added that, if our troops operate, the souls of innocent people will be lost, and the bandits may easily run away.

Defence Minister also make it clear that, the activities of informants is giving them headache as according to him, the informants monitor the movement of our soldiers, and call bandits in the bush tell them that so so Army patrol Vehicle passes and is heading to some where that the bandits knew.

He called on the good people of the country to always assist security personnel with credible information that may lead to the arrest of any criminal.
