Family Of Late Ahmad Yakubu Cries For Justice

The family of a nine years old boy, Ahmed Yakubu who was gruesomely murdered for ritual purpose on the 9th December 2021 has appealed to the minister of Justice and Attorney General of the federation to intervene into the issue as justice has miscarried, saying that all authorities remain silence.

They lamented that the way the boy was killed was inhumanity against human, removing his throat, testicles and intestines for only N500,000 naira, pointing out that three suspects were arrested and that they made confessional statements even in the presence of the State Governor that they actually murdered the boy for ritual purposes.

Addressing newsmen at the press center in Gusau, the State capital, the leader of the boy's family, Salisu Abdulrahaman confirmed that the State police command had arraigned the  three suspects to the chief Magistrate court in Gusau but then the family has been kept in darkness. 

"We are therefore suspecting that some influential individuals must have stopped the case to deny us justice. This is because both the court, the State government and the police have remained silence over the issue since then" he added.

According to Abdulrahman,  the Magistrate, Alhaji Saadu Gurbin -  Bore had since transferred the case back to the State ministry of Justice, saying that his court has no jurisdiction to entertain the case, pleading to the commissioner of Justice to transfer the case to another court.

The relations of the deseased who were talking with angry said that since the case was transferred back to the State's ministry of Justice, they have not heard anything about the case and that nobody has tоld the exactly the position of the case.

They lamented that on the 9th of December 2021, Ahmed Yakubu was declared missing and the case was reported to the police which led to the arrest of the principal suspect, Aminu Baba,  Ahmed Tukur  and one other person who confessed that he murdered the boy for ritual purpose.

"The master minder of the murder, Aminu Baba confessed to the police that he paid the sum of N500,000 for the human parts, saying that he promised to add some money to Ahmed Tukur when he came back from his Kaduna trip.

Recall that in December 2021, the Zamfara State police command paraded one Aminu Baba, Ahmed Tukur and one other suspect for alleged murdering of a 13 years old Ahmed Yakubu for ritual purposes.

Managarciya reports that the State Governor, Hon. Bello Mohammed Matawalle was interested in the case that he instructed that the State police command must arrest the suspects and bring them to justice which the command did by arresting three suspect.
