CONVOCATION: IBB UNIVERSITY LAPAI OFFERS AUTOMATIC EMPLOYMENT TO 2 OVERALL GRADUATES

Two overall best graduates of the Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University Lapai in Niger state have been offered automatic employment during its fourth Combined Convocation ceremony held at the institution.
Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abu Kasim Adamu who announced this in Lapai said the two graduates will be employed as Graduate Assistants.
Professor Abu Kasim Adamu further explained that the two first class graduates will be trained up to the PhD level to achieve the desired objective.
According to him the two overall best-graduating students include the overall best-graduating student in the twenty nineteen twenty twenty academic session, Mohammed Aisha Egbako of the Animal Production Department with a CGPA of 4.85.
While the overall best-graduating student in the twenty twenty twenty twenty one academic session, Yahaya Mahmud Baba of the Department of Food Science and Technology got a CGPA of 4.90.
Similarly he explained that thirty seven students will be awarded first class degrees, nine hundred and fifty four students second class upper,three thousand two hundred and eighty three students with second class lower, while one thousand five hundred and eighteen students got third class, and seventeen students with Pass.
Prof Abu Kasim Adamu said that the university is graduating six thousand one hundred and fifty four students out of which five thousand seven hundred and nineteen are undergraduates aa well as four hundred and thirty five postgraduates.
He noted that the institution has created six centers to enhance research, innovation, and patency in the institution adding that the University needs funding to accommodate the increasing salary gap and payment of staff outstanding allowances, among others.
The University also conferred honorary doctorate awards to four emminent Nigerians in recognition of their contributions to the growth and development of Nigeria.#
