The rain that fell across Silame and Binji Local Government Areas of Sokoto State flooded many farmlands and also led to collapse of several houses in the affected communities.
NEMA Agency assessment team gathered that the main cause of the flood was a heavy amount of rainfall that came with storm.
Several houses that collapsed were clay houses and it collapsed at night while the communities were already sleeping.
There are cases of injuries and even death in some communities. Many hactares of farmlands were also affected.
