An Islamic Cleric Sheikh Ibrahim Aliyu Kaduna, has call on Federal government and independent National electoral Commission INEC as a matter of urgency to create an agency that will caters for continues registration of Permanent Voters Card exercise in the country, saying that the time prime or extension of additional only 60 days is not enough for Nigerians how have no PVC to obtain it.
The lslamic Cleric is Speaking while delivering Friday sermon at a Mosque in Abuja, adding that they're many people how have filled offencetive with the previous elections and said "that l will not votes again, am using this medium to apologise them , that this is the right time to votes candidates of their choice, how they think that they can make things better and easier for them.
Sheikh Ibrahim Kaduna ,further said "We Vote this government in power with the hope and believe that will make things easier for us and correct the electoral process of huge spendings amount of money during the process , but very unfortunate it affairs to be worsening than expected,
"We believe that this government will curb all elements of corruption in governance through sensitizing the systems and reforms , to a system where credible candidates can emerge in the process but very unfortunate
reverse is the case this makes some people Promise to shun the process of voting in forthcoming Elections.
"Everyone should please obtain his her Permanent voters cards, your voters card served as weapon of electing candidates of your choice, everyone should please find time to obtain and tell your ward family members how are eligible for registration of Voters Card should do so, so to avoid wrong candidates,but with your card you can make choices without disfranchise.
"Am applying to independent National electoral Commission,INEC to make the registration of Permanent Voters Card as a continuous process like National Identity number process, also allows those with no PVC but have National identity card to votes candidates of their choice during the 2023 general election because their NIN contains all the information of the voter.
He said "In developing countries they use National identity number in Elections, why we in Nigeria not doing same to avoid unnecessary spending of Public fund which can be uses for other developmentals projects, the lslamic Cleric asked.
