Civil Defense Corps Has Allegedly Killed a 28 Year Old in Minna

The Niger state command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps NSCDC, has allegedly killed a twenty eight year old Naziru Abubakar at Brighter School area in Chanchaga Local Council of the state.
The incident occurred around eleven to twelve midnight of Monday when four personnels of the corps on patrol in their Hilux vehicle shot the said person and died instantly.
It was reliably gathered that about five youths who were sitting outside sighted the NSCDC vehicle run into the house of one Yanga Buba and on hearing the movement the victim who was reciting the Quran came out to see what was going on however he was alleged to have been shot on the head .
Reports further revealed that the area was known for crimes in recent times in which the miscreants were involved in cell phones snatching, house breaking and attacking residence in their houses to disposed them of their valuables thereby given them sleepless nights.
It was also gathered that the youths in the area are planning to bring the corpse of Naziru Abubakar to the NSCDC office in protest on why he was killed by their men, but however the case has been reported to Chanchaga Police station for investigation and necessary action.
When contacted the command, Public Relations Officer DSC Nasir Abdullahi denied the report.
He however described the report as rumour which should be disregarded stressing that the command is yet to receive any report to that effect and if they do he will get back to us.
