CIPDI COMMEMORATE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE AFRICAN CHILD IN JIGAWA
 
 

Children in Jigawa state has called on government to concentrate in education especially basic education for brighter future of the African children.

This is coming during the commemoration of the international day of the African child organized by the center for innovative and pragmatic development initiative CIPDI held at NUJ secretariate Dutse, the Jigawa state capital.
The purpose of the events is to allow children to express themselves, their feelings, their ambitions and their talent to the world.
The day is commemorated on the 16th of June every year, with a view to express children's view and emotions to the world. 
The children display their talent and ambition in which some of them want become Doctors, Lawyers, Teachers, and other profession.
The children also advised parent to send their children to school and take care of them as children are the future leaders.
The schools that attended the event were the, Bamaina Nomadic primary school, Government girls day Arabic secondary school Baure, Dutse Model international School, Bint Umar memorial School, Golden light school, and Ihsan Academy.
Those school were drawn from around Dutse and Birnin kudu local government of Jigawa state as a pilot school before next year's event.
The event were recognized by the various stakeholders and parent as children of Africa were given their day to express themselves.
During the events, children presented papers on the importance of child education as the best in the history of mankind, they also demonstrated cultural dance, enlighten people through placard calling to be United as a nation.
The children also pray for adequate security, peace and harmony of Nigeria at large.
