China Company Provides Solar Power Panels To Local Communities in Kano

The power china company who doubles as Sinohydro corporation limited, has distributed 200 free solar powered panels to Local Residents in Lautaye of Bunkure local government area of Kano State.
The donation of the panel is under the Federal ministry of water resources and supervision of Hadeja Jama'are
Speaking during the presentation of panels, the Managing Director of Company Mr. Diego Tian, who gave a brief history of the Company’s involvement in Nigeria in various developmental projects, said for over 20 years, the company had successfully executed numerous projects across Nigeria. He said the donations of the panels was the Company's little way of appreciation to the Local Resident and the living up its social responsibility. He prayed the provision of the panels will improve the lives of the beneficiaries and uplift the socio-economic status.
In his address Engr. Sabiu Dan Malam, who was the Project Coordinator overseeing the project, appreciated the donations by the Company and explained that over 200 households benefited from the donations. He said the village was selected because of its proximity to the water irrigation project and said the panels had the capacity power of 2 to 4 build per household as well as provide charging points for local Telephones.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries Mal. Salihu Idris appreciated the company and said that the community never had electricity in their lives. He said they are particularly delighted for the relief of having the capacity to charge their phones easily – courtesy of the donation of the panels.
Present at the occasion were the Bunkure Local Government Chairman Abdul-Ra’uf Umar Nadabo Barkum, The district head of Bunkure Nasiru Umar, Galadima Rano representing the Emir of Rano and the other Eminents personalities from the Local Government.
