Chamber Of Commerce: President Tenders His Resignation, Says Powerful Figures Witch Hunts Him

The president of the Zamfara State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ZACCIMA), Alhaji Hamza Musa Maibulawus has today tendered his voluntary resignation.
The president made the declaration, while addressing Council members of the ZACCIMA in Gusau Zamfara State capital, saying the untimely resignation has become imperative following reasons best known to him.
Maibulawus further told the meeting that some powerful figures from both the State Government and within the chamber had embarked on movements against his leadership, the development which he cried he could not contain.
“Contrary to the topic earlier given as the main issue to discuss at this meeting, I stand to share with you a decision I have taken to voluntarily vacate my office as President of Zamfara State Chamber of Commerce.
“I know my instant voluntary resignation comes to you full of surprise, simply because your expectations must have thrown up on different issues surrounding matters within the chamber that need urgent attention.
“I must admit that, there are some powerful figures especially within the State Government that have been witch hunting me with a view to ensure waves of formidable obstacles are thrown to barricade my administration from moving the chamber forward”, Maibulawus added.
He further noted that, he firmly took the decision to leave and would not entertain any request from any quarter that will seek for mediation, adding that, “You are living witnesses to the contributions I gave which drive ZACCIMA to what it is today.
