 Border Open: Customs boss meets border communities in Kastina

 

The Comptroller-General of Customs (CGC), Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, on Saturday, March 9, convened a meeting with border communities at the Kongolom Border Station in Katsina State. 

The meeting was to strengthen the harmonious relationship between the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) and the border communities.

The Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) made this known in a statement on its X handle on Sunday, March 10.

The statement reads: "In an effort to fortify the amicable relationship between the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) and border communities, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, the Comptroller-General of Customs (CGC), convened an interactive session on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Kongolom Border Station in Katsina state.

"The session brought together traditional leaders, business figures, and community members of Mai'adua, a township situated 91 kilometres from Katsina town in Northern Nigeria.

"At the Customs House in Kongolom, CGC Adeniyi articulated that the purpose of his visit was to heed the appeals of community leaders and to undertake requisite measures to address their concerns."
