Executive Chairman of the board Alhaji Altine Shehu Kajiji gave the assurance yesterday when he received in his office the Director Programmes and Quality Innovation of the Plan International Abuja who paid him courtesy visit.
Alhaji Altine Shehu said every responsible state government will welcome program such as Plan International inview of the impact made by similar Programmes such as Northern Education Initiative (NEI) and Better Education Service Delivery for All (BESDA) toward complementing the state government effort to improving teaching and learning in the basic education sub sector in the state.
According to him all the said programmes have contributed in no small measure to boosting basic education especially in the area of training and retraining of Teachers and Education Managers for improve teaching and learning.
He used the medium to thanked Plan International for its resolved to collaborate with the State Universal Basic Education Board and hope the collaboration will yeild a fruitful result.
Earlier in her remarks,the Director Programs and Quality Innovation of the Plan International Nigeria Helen Idwing told the SUBEB Chairman that she was in sokoto and particularly in his office to intimate his of their Program resolved to collaborate with the State Universal Basic Education Board to improving the basic education sub sector in the state.
According to her Plan International would seriously collaborate with officials of the board toward designing areas of concern for immediate intervention of the program.
Helen Idwing to this end noted that Plan International through its ASPIRE and EU-CSO Strengthening projects is determined to contribute seriously toward uplifting the standard of basic education in the state hence the need for sokoto SUBEB full support and cooperation to achieving the set goal.
Other speakers during the visit included the Permanent Secretary of the board Alhaji Umar Muhammad Yabo and Laban Onisimus of the sokoto office of the Plan International.
It was witnessed by the Permanent Member two of the board Alhaji Muhammad Dan Ango Wurno and some Directors.
