BAUCHI SALES ABOUT 1700 OF ITS 2024 HAJJ SLOT ALLOCATION

The Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has sold approximately *1700* of its 2024 Hajj slots, out of 3364 allocated to Bauchi State by National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON.
The Executive Secretary of the Board Imam Abdurrahman Ibrahim Idris made this known during an interview with the press on Bauchi Hajj activities, acknowledging the state-wide mobilisation and enlightenment of intending pilgrims on new Hajj policies has made positive impact.
Imam Abdurrahman attributed the success of the excercise to the contribution and support received from our Royal Highnesses in Bauchi State, Local Government Chairmen, Imams and other Hajj stakeholders.
He noted that Saudi new policies on 2024 Hajj activities has compelled countries to make early start and preparation of their Hajj activities.
Imam Abdurrahman further reminded that NAHCON fixed *N4.5M* as this year deposit and gave December ultimatum for expeditious remittance of a reasonable percentage of funds by all States in order to secure the Hajj slots allocated to them.
According to him "We have earlear fixed December this year as a deadline of making 2024 Hajj deposit, pending further announcement by NAHCON"
He therefore urged the prospective depositors to make good used of the grace period to either top up or make their fresh deposit.
