Barely some hours ago when Zamfara state commissioner for Information Hon, Ibrahim Magaji Dosara said the security situation in the state improved, some unrepentant bandits abducted  no fewer than 20 people including a four day born twin in Dauran Village of Zurmi local government.

A resident of the Dauran Village where the abduction took place Malan Haruna Ahmad Dauran told Newman in a Telephone interview that the bad act took place yesterday.

According to him, ‘the gun men besieged their village around 8:30 am on Saturday morning, where they conducted house to house search, and were able to go along with the earlier said number of people.

Malam Haruna added that, the unrepentant bandits tried to attack whoshippers inside the Mosque, but the worshippers manoeuvre and ran away from the mosque, before they descended  on them.

"As i am talking to you now ninety percent of the abductees are married women  including four day born twins, and their nursing mother, the gun men also extend the attack to one village called Baicin Dauran.

"The time they entered Baicin Dauran, the people of that village were busy trying to bury one of their relatives whom the bandits killed, they stopped them at the graveyard, started searching their pockets one by one and carted away their belongings including cell phones on Saturday morning. And no one can tell you the amount of money they collected from them." He discloses

Malam Haruna Ahmad to this end calls on both Federal and State governments to come to their aid, and to stop politicizing the security situation in the state.

" The reason why I said the government should  not politicise the security situation is that, just yesterday the commissioner for Information Hon, Ibrahim Dosara, announced that the security situation in the state has improved, while we were there suffering a series of attacks.

When contacted for confirmation, the spokesman of zamfara state police command SP Muhammed Shehu said, he needs 30 minutes he will call back, but up to the time of compiling this report he neither called nor sent a text message.
