Aliyu, Bafarawa attend AIG Nasarawa funeral prayer in Sokoto

Gov. Ahmed Aliyu of Sokoto State was among the hundreds of Muslims who attended the funeral prayer of the former AIG Mamman Nasarawa held at the Sultan Bello Mosque Sokoto.
Late AIG Nasarawa died in the early hours of Wednesday at the Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital Sokoto.
The deceased died at the age of 87 and is survived by 15 children and many grand children.
Among his children are the former Sokoto State First Lady, Hajiya Jamila Attahiru Bafarawa.
Condoling the bereaved family , Gov. Aliyu described the demise of late AIG Nasarawa as a great loss not only to Sokoto State but to the nation as a whole.
He described the late Nasarawa as pious, gentle, humane and a humble personality who served the country diligently,
"Late Nasarawa was a professional cop who dedicated his leisure and time for effective policing of the country.
"It is my fervent prayer that the Almighty Allah will accept all his good deeds and forgive all his shortcomings," Aliyu prayed
Speaking on behalf of the family of the late AIG Nasarawa, a former Governor of the State, Attahiru Dalhatu Bafarawa commended the Governor for the condolence and prayed Allah to reward him abundantly.
