The Emir of Kiyawa, Kaura Namoda Emirate, Major Sanusi Muhammad Asha (Rtd.), has attributed the successes being recorded by the Ahmed Aliyu-led administration to the Governor’s careful selection of competent aides.
The monarch made the remark while receiving a souvenir from Governor Ahmed Aliyu at the end of his official visit to Sokoto State.
He said Governor Aliyu’s choice of aides and cabinet members was highly commendable, noting that it had significantly contributed to the result-oriented leadership being witnessed across the state.
“Your selection of officials, from the Secretary to the State Government and the Chief of Staff down to the protocol staff, is truly commendable.
“We were warmly received and accorded first-class treatment, unlike what obtains in many other places.
“We have visited other places and experienced how guests are treated. Your protocol staff have done an excellent job.”
The Emir thanked Governor Aliyu for inviting him to commission the Gada Central Jumu’at Mosque, describing the gesture as a great honour.
He also called on Nigerians to continue praying for the nation’s leaders to succeed in addressing the challenges facing the country.
Earlier, while presenting the souvenir to the monarch, Governor Ahmed Aliyu thanked him for honouring the State’s invitation to commission the Gada Central Jumu’at Mosque.
The event was attended by the Minister of State for Works, Barr. Bello Goronyo, the Speaker of the Sokoto State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Tukur Bala Bodinga; former Deputy Governor, Barr. Mukhtar Shagari, the member representing Bodinga/Dange-Shuni/Tureta Federal Constituency, Hon. Nasiru Shehu, the House Leader, Hon. Bello Idris, members of the State House of Assembly, the Secretary to the State Government, the Chief of Staff, Government House, Sokoto, Alhaji Aminu Haliru Dikko, mni, commissioners, Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, and other top government officials.
