The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has released the official timetable for its 2026 nationwide congresses, outlining key dates for ward, local government, and state congresses ahead of the party’s national convention.
In a public notice issued by the party’s national headquarters in Abuja, and sighted by GaskiyaCast, the process will begin with the Polling Unit and Ward Congresses on April 7, 2026.
This will be followed by the Local Government Area Congresses on April 9, 2026, while State Congresses are scheduled for April 11, 2026.
According to the notice, the activities will culminate in the party’s National Convention on April 14, 2026, where major decisions and leadership processes are expected to take place.
The party advised members interested in contesting for vacant positions at the ward, local government, and state levels to obtain and submit their nomination or expression of interest forms through the party’s official platform.
The notice was signed by the ADC National Organising Secretary, Chinedu Idigo, and the National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi.
