Lalalo who appealed to workers to be patient with the current situation stated that he required about N272 million monthly but got over N138 million leaving a deficit of over N130 million that the council can't generate in a month just as the IGR are being used for office up keeps. He explained that the council had resolved with the labour not to retrench workers as such would exposed many to hardship hence the need to pay in percentage until normalcy is restored. The chairman further revealed that he started well but constraint since the outbreak of Covid 19 in addition to the local government autonomy granted by governor Abubakar Sani Bello.

Chairman Chanchaga Local Government of Niger state, Alhaji Ibrahim Lalalo has lamented over the inability of the council to pay 100% staff salary but resolved to payment in percentage.
He made the disclosure in an interview with journalists in Minna, saying that it was due to over blotted staff strength of over two thousand workforce.
